Sometimes operational constraints require that parts are brought to the manipulator and processed before being taken away again.
Handling
Concepts have produced numerous special purpose units over the years, designed
to carry out everything from simple re-orientate to complex multi-axis
manipulators.
Using
all possible types of power supply, actuation, and control systems, the device
is specified to precisely meet customer’s requirements.
This
typical application shows a hydraulically powered manipulator for manoeuvring
heavy x-ray guns in to position to a high level of accuracy.
Vacuum
Tube Lifters are available for a range of loads of up to 120kg. Standard equipment includes
specification for lifting sacks, boxes, and drums.
Special
heads can be developed to suit many non-standard types of load subject to them
being non-porous and having a flat surface upon which to grip.
Vacuum
units can be suspended from a range of Radial Arms, Articulated Arms, or Rail
Systems to service the work in question.
Food
and Pharmaceutical industries can be serviced with a range of stainless steel
equipment and other hygiene measures such as easily removable tube covers,
dressed welds and sealed joints.
The
vacuum load handling spreader offers a convenient method of gripping large,
heavy items such as sheet materials when using a conventional hoist. Any number of vacuum cups can grip on
any area, which is substantially flat and non-porous. By adding more or larger cups heavier items can be handled.
Faster
and safer than slings etc. and with the added advantage that the surface of the
material won't be damaged, such devices are perfect in regular product
operations: - especially when crane controls are integrated into the load
spreader for convenience. Various audible
or visual signals warn of power failure, which could lead to loss of load.
Tilting
mechanisms (manual or powered) allow the unit to re-orientate sheets etc.
through 90 degrees.
Models
are available from a few kilograms to many tons and rechargeable battery
options also exist.
Over
the years equips us to pull together all the elements of the complete
production line in a "turn-key" project.
Overhead
lifting and manipulator elements can be combined with conveyors, scissor lifts,
trolleys, and workstations for the complete picture.
Let
us work with your factory engineers through design and specification,
procurement, installation and commissioning and provide the project management
needed to ensure success.
Balancers & Hoists for In-Line Lifting
AsistLift
Pneumatic Balancing Lifter
A new family of pneumatic lifters
with capacities of up to 120kg and benefiting from precision electronic control
systems.
Bespoke gripper /
manipulators below the hook customise the unit for a perfect solution to the
customer's problem.
AsistArm
Integrated Pneumatic Lifter
Using the AsistLift
technology integrated into an articulated arm provides a high-speed "pick
& place" balancer / manipulator for fast, flexible product handling.
Working radius of up to 4
meters, with capacities of up to 120kg.
Fixed installation on moveable base.
Variable
Speed Chain Hoist for Larger Loads
For loads from 125kg and
onwards traditional Chain Hoists with modern Variable Speed Control and Bespoke
Grippers / Manipulators below the hook offer an ideal solution. All controls are built into the gripper
for operator convenience.
Models are available from 80 to 460kg capacity and with a variety of control configurations to suit a corresponding variety of loads and operating formats.
For awkward or restricted spaces the articulated arm format may be more appropriate
Vector Balanced Arm / Manipulator
The double-pantograph arm design gives the ultimate in operator response and needs typically only 2½% of the payload weight in order to move.
Sometimes operational constraints require that parts are brought to the manipulator and processed before being taken away again.

Light crane technology forms the core of most of our manipulator activities. No surprise then, that we also offer the supply and installation of modular systems using either radial arms or rail systems at capacities up to 1000kg.
Systems are specified using top quality components to suit the customers' requirement and then installed in a "turn-key" operation.
A wide choice of hoists is available to complete the system including high-speed units and inverter controlled variable speed devices for precision positioning.
